Neighbourhood Profile: Upper Lonsdale
Upper Lonsdale is one of the more prestigious and sought after neighbourhoods in North Vancouver. Located at the Northernmost tip of the Lonsdale Corridor, this neighbourhood is a mix of apartments, townhouses, and single family homes. There is a broad range of homes from character homes, mid century bungalows and new builds. Upper Lonsdale has some of the larger lots in North Vancouver, so if you are looking for a property with more land, this is the place for you. Some of the most sought after homes in this neighbourhood are home to breathtaking views of the city, harbour and as far West as Vancouver Island.

Carisbrooke Park
Carisbrooke Park is a local favourite. Formally known as Lonsdale park, it was laid out in 1912-23 by the BC Electric Street Railway Company. It is now home to a children’s playground.
Harry Jerome Recreation Centre is located just South of Upper Lonsdale. It is home to a 25 foot swimming pool, Weight Room & Fitness Centre, and home to Flicka Gymnastics.

Harmony Donuts
A North Shore “Secret” – Harmony Donuts is a well loved donut shop that is hard to find! When you do find it (located next to Rebellious Tomato), it’s worth it to bring home a dozen. These cake donuts come in a variety of flavoured icing and some with sprinkles. A hidden gem for sure, just read what one blogger had to say:
“After weeks of half-hearted efforts to sample the goods from Harmony Donut Shop, I finally managed to succeed. Was I ever surprised when halfway through my hike up Lonsdale I saw the ‘open’ sign turned on in this little shop. There is an absence of any signage out front (which makes it difficult to find if you don’t know where it is ~ you just have to trust the address and see if the ‘open’ sign is on), and peering through the windows reveals a shop that does an excellent job of appearing to be out of business. My wife and I debated this very point for several weeks after both driving and walking by a few times over a period of two or so months. I am pleased to report however, that they are indeed still open, and whoa boy, does she ever make a good doughnut.”
